Success... well sorta.

I have started potty training with brody. first day was saturday and it was ok. I sat with him for 50 min. he peed once and no poopies. I was impressed. but the next day we had lots of tears and screaming fits. Also brody falling asleep on the potty. So i was a bit discouraged. well today i decided i would just wait a week and try again. but after reading my friends, sisters blog I read about the ups and downs that her little boy was having. I guess that i just thought it would be easier (ya right.) So i put brody on the potty again today. he kept saying "bummy hurts. bummy hurts" so i lifted him up and saw a ring on his bum. this particular potty has a removable bucket and the crease leaves this ring on brody's bum. so a little light went off and it hit me... he was associating going potty with pain. WELL NO WONDER. so we made a trip to walmart and gesome neccessities.
So we found this new potty. "Cushy Tushy".
Don't forget Diego underwear.

And some candy for the candy dispenser.
So When we got home we went inand sat on the potty. Brody didn't go. so i decided to put the underwear on him so he could feel what it was like to have pee on him. And of course two minutes later he peed his pants. So we went back into the b-room and tried to pee. nope not happening. so we had dinner in new clean underwear. yep you guessed it he peed again. i said see it is yucky to pee in underwear. and made a big deal about it. so we ate dinner in a pullup and all of a sudden he starts wiggling and looks at me in a panic. So i make a dash into the b-room. He had to go so bad but just held it. He would say "i am to sared (scared)." I said "there is nothing to be afraid of. I am right here. it will be ok" and then after about 20 minutes and persistant requests to go lay on the couch. he went pee. yay!!!. So we started screaming and jumping and he helped me flush it and we washed his hands. and got two candies. YES. and then brody says "that not sary" so cute. Needless to say he has gone pee 3 times this morning. I am so excited. But i decided that for about a week i am just going to have him in pullups and work on him wanting and telling me to go pee. Right now it is me saying do you need to go pee? and us running in there. So i feel alot better. wish us luck with that.
I just had to post this pic. This is what happened literally two minutes after not looking. I was laughing so hard. cute.

I wish you luck! To be honest, I am dreading the whole potty training. I hear that boys are harder than little girls. Good idea with that candy dispenser though! By the way, where did you get that? SO cute.

isn't it amazing what your little ones will get into when you turn your back for 30 seconds. Preston always does silly things like that too. Oh, I want to hear your cute idea you where talking about with Novemberfest!

ahhh...potty training, isn't it fun??? Actually that was one fairly easy thing about Ashton, but even though he did it pretty quickly, it was still so frustrating while he was learning. We did the bare bum thing at our house for about a week-he did have accidents, but he did pretty well with it for the most part-good luck!! Sounds like he's catching on:)

I feel your pain!! We are potty training too and I've decided it sucks. Lol. Stets does pretty good but he has his good days where we won't have a wet pull-up all day or night long, and then the next day it's non-stop "mom,I pee pee". Gotta love hearing that!
