So yes this is the next step for my little bently. We are getting the little fart off of bottles. He has one before bed time and three during the day. No more bottles. Problem is.... He no likey the sippy cups.
But yesterday i got him to drink from it a couple times.... THEN he went to bed without one. but needed me to hold him. Progress i thought but THEN... 4 am came around and he was a monster. Cried until 5:30 (i am going to be strong i thought) Blake comes out and says "What is a matter with him" me "he wants a bottle" So we gave him one and he went right to sleep. Ok for a first day.
Today no bottles and it is nap time. So i put him in the crib and the screaming began. 30 minutes later he is asleep... still with no bottles. I am very impressed with myself ( i don't deal with constant screaming right now very well) but i stayed strong and hopefully tonight will Be a good experiance too. I know this is the second time i have done this but really it doesn't get any easier. Just something you got to do. Just not very fun.

Hey. I am so glad I didn't have to do that with Ash. At least something good came from breastfeeding! Stick to it and he won't want it anymore.
i hate these new stages in life. its horrible. he will get better!! good luck.
I just went throught this with my daughter... she wouldn't even use sippy cups and would throw them at me when I would try... We finally decided to just give her a bottle at night for 1 week and then went cold turkey. It was 3 days of hell but she finally gave in. Good luck! Have you tried the soft nipple sippy's from wal mart? They are the $2 nuby or something like that.

Good Luck! Carter only loves the 96 cent hard top ones from wal mart- They are the ones I stick with for naps & bedtimes.
You can do it Cass! Tayson is down to 1 bottle a day. It gets easier. I promise. It took Tayson awhile to get use to the sippy. Give me a call today I wanted to visit with ya any ways.

I am having the same problem with nursing!!! Kaitlyn will take a bottle but in the middle of the night she wants mommy for comfort, but i have been trying to stay strong, so lets do it together!!
