Something has changed...

So for the last 4 months we have been doing lot of this....

and this,

and honestly it has been the roughest months of my life. I don't have anyone in my family who has asthma, so i didn't have any idea what to expect. There were many nights that I just held him and prayed that he would be able to breathe through the night. One night in particular was the worst. I had been up 3 nights in a row, and i was spent. Blake was working in vegas and we ran out of albuterole. I had to go to the nieghbors and like she some how new a different neighbor called me and came and stayed with brody while i ran and got some albuterole. I saw on her face that i wasn't just being an overly worried mother. She was scared too. Seriously the worst night ever. Lots of shared tears.
Anyway the reason why i am telling you this is brody's asthma has changed!!!

He was put on a low dose steroid given through the nebulizer twice a day... and we have cut down to once at night and not at all some nights. I can't believe it. I never thought that this day would come. pesimist (sp?) i know but honestly. He is doing so well. rarely even coughs during the day. When he has a cold he tends to cough a little, but that is IT. I am so glad for medicine and living in this day and age. I can't imagine the ole days, and having to just watch him struggle to breathe.

Now there is just lots of this....

I am so relieved!!

I can't imagine having to be there worried about his breathing! That would have to be the scariest thing ever and something i'm glad i've not had to deal with. I'm sorry you have! It was fun to see you for the split second the other day, and I found an old book of yours, it had a couple funny pictures in it!
