So towards the end of July Brody started to cough. Just a non productive cough here and there. Also with red eyes and stuffy nose. I took him in and we were told he had allergies. (all of us did this summer) So we did an over the counter antihistamine and that was that. Well during the last two months he cough has gotten worse. He cough so hard that he almost vomits. I started to pay attention to when he was coughing . And i realized it was when he was running and being rowdy and usually before bedtime and during the night. So we went to the doc and just as i suspected my lil brody has ASTHMA. well the doc called it RAD (restrictive airway disease) He didn't want to ruin his medical record.
So tonight we tried our first nebulizer treatment. He did very well. held the mask on the whole time. i was very impressed.

The dr told me that brody could very well grow out of this. And he also said that when he listens to him he hears no crackling or wheezing. He said it is very mild. And his treatment is only to do the nebulizer one time before but unless other wise needed. So i am remaining hopefull.

So, do you or your husband have asthma? I have heard that it is hereditary too. But I have never really known anyone that has had it. I hope for your sake that it is mild and that he does grow out of it. And glad that you have an answer.
Many kids do grow out of it so keep your fingers crossed!! Also what you asked about Skylar cleaning?? HAH! Half of the crap I clean up is his!! Gotta love the boys!
Oh my gosh... cute lil thing. It looks like an oxygen mask. WOW I am impressed that he did so well way to go Brodster!
Poor Brody, hopefully he does grow out of it! Cute little panda though..
Um, Cass.. Eric gave me your bows tonight and I loved every single one. They are just darling! I was surprised how many were there too. Way to go. I didn't realize that you put them all in baggies. You don't have to use my idea, we can just put them in a basket or something if you like. Whatever you think!
Also, there was another separate bag inside (the polka dot flower ones) how much are you charging for those? Love, Love um!
Yea, where was that Panda when we needed it?? Hopefully Brody will grow out of it as he gets older.
Poor little guy! My 6 month old daughter has had a bad cough for a few months and the doctor thinks she might have reflux so he gave her Zantax. The medicine hasn't been helping so I don't know what it is. I don't know if she would have asthma cause she can't run around yet and get out of breath. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Poor dude! Hope he grows out of it...what a pain for you now...just another thing to do before bed!
